mood board for working:
I chose the theme working as it inspired me. It inspired me as it has various different edits to them and they stood out to me the most and its use of edits are unique and not like normal edits i have seen.

PAUL KENTON edited photoshoot:
Paul Kenton inspired me to change my original photographs into a cartoon font made with paint. I did this by using adjustments to level the background to a white font. I then went to filter stylize and embossed the photograph to look more as a cartoon. I leveled it to get the right colour. After that i used the paintbrush tool to outline some areas to make it look as if i brushed the lines with a paintbrush.

My intentions for this topic is to take photographs of buildings. Stephanie Jung has taken a photo of chaos, hectic, during everyday life in a busy city, i am going to take my own photographs of busy areas and edit it in the style of Stephanie Jung.

To get this edited peace like Stephanie Jung i duplicated the same photo by layering them, I then brought the layer to a opacity of 45%. By doing this it blurred one side to the photo so i shuffled the picture to get it to look overlapped and blurred. I did this to create a fast hectic mood.
working:
The title of my project is working. I have developed my own individual approach to this title by using different artist and there photographs. The artists that inspired me the most are Stephanie Jung and Paul Kenton. Stephanie Jung has inspired me as she took an average picture on a busy day in the town and edited it to add a chaos theme. In order to develop my ideas for this project is i layered the same photo and lowered the opacity to make it look blurred and crazy. Paul Kenton has inspired me as he took photos of buildings and put it in a cartoon font with an outline of paint. In order to develop my ideas for this project i stylized and embossed the photo to create a cartoon theme, i then used paint brush tool to outline the building.
I want to combine both my artists photographs, to do that I am going to duplicate the photo a few times and then lower the opacity to get it in the style of Stephanie Jung. I will then change the font into a cartoon font made with paint just like in the style of Paul Kenton. This will combine both my artist to create my final piece.
exam gcses 2019:
combined photographs in the style of stephanie jung and paul kenton:
The title of my project is working. I have developed my own individual approach to this title by using different artist and there photographs. I chose working because the photographs and designs the artist used inspired me. I used two artists from the title working (Stephanie Jung and Paul Kenton) and used both their work and ideas to form these photographs. Stephanie Jung inspired me the most out of the two artists I picked, she inspired me because her work had a meaning to it that I partly understood. She took pictures of everyday traffic, buildings, town centers, busy streets etc and made her edit more busier and hallucinating than it seemed. I also used Paul Kenton's work to give more of a cartoon and drawing effect. I tried to combine artist as you can see from many of the pictures above. I started off with Stephanie Jung's effect then added Paul Kenton's and combined them into one. I am proud of my work as I worked really hard on it and I feel I have made it stand out just like my two artists have done. Equally, both artists have inspired me to finish my last design into a combination of both of theirs and it shows in my work that I have worked hard on these edits.
Steps:
I first layered the original photograph and lowered the opacity, i then moved the duplicated photo a little and it formed a blurred photograph just how Stephanie Jung has. I would doe this a couple times to make it look more hectic. I then used Stephanie Jung's edit i made to combine with Paul Kenton's work. To make the photo in the style of Paul Kenton i used filter, stylize the embossed the photo. When i click emboss I would then choose how dark or light i want the picture. I then layered the new edit with the original photograph. My final edit highlights the style of both artists Stephanie Jung and Paul Kenton's ideas. I used Stephanie Jung's style to create a hectic blurred effect and Paul Kenton's style to create a cartoon effect. |
